With over 3,300 shows for kids in my career, I have learned to appreciate the little things that occur at my live performances. It is not realistic to expect all the children at a show to be participating at the same level. I enjoy focusing on the shy kids to see if I can help them to feel comfortable enough with me to increase their level of participation and dance a little, sing a little, or just smile. Or at least not hide behind their mom as I walk by. If one shy or quiet child looks to be having more fun as the show progresses, I'm a happy cowboy.
