"Sing Along Fridays" with Kidsinger Jim at Eastern Market
A treasured part of Kidsinger Jim's 27 years in children's entertainment was his 10 years spent as a classroom music teacher, working with preK through grade 8 and special-needs children. "Sing Along Fridays" is designed to expand children's knowledge of folk songs, but Jim may include some original and traditional stories (related to the songs). He will also sing some originals (with his backing tracks) to get the kids up and moving - especially if they get antsy. Although these weekday morning Eastern Market events draw a young crowd, older children are always welcome!
New feature: Kidsinger Jim has decided to begin recording some podcasts - CLICK HERE to listen to the first one - that give parents, caregivers and children a chance to learn new folk songs (featured at our Tuesday and Friday events) at home and on the go.
"Sing Along Fridays" is a new weekly musical event produced by Kidsinger Jim. The first two "Sing Along Fridays" events are November 15 and Nov. 22, but no event on Nov. 29 due to Thanksgiving. Please check our Calendar for Friday and Tuesday events through December.
Admission: $8 each at the door (cash or charge), $6 each in advance, and $6 each for a block of ten punch card ($60). Parents/caregivers FREE. Siblings six months and under FREE. Please note: The punch cards can also be used for our "Tuesdays at 10" puppet show events.
School Groups: For local schools without a music teacher, this could be an excellent regular or semi-regular activity. Cost per child is $6, teachers/staff free. Please contact us to book your group.
